Summary:
This update introduces optional new setup steps on the robot’s screen that must be completed or skipped before starting a scan. These changes help the robot “see” better based on the specific aisle it is in.
🚨 Category A: Action Required(Training Needed)
Wranglers must now fill out or skip three specific fields on the robot UI before hitting Start.
1. Select Aisle Type:
Wranglers must now pick the type of aisle they are about to scan from a list (i.e., standard, wine, coolers, etc.).

On the Select Aisle Type screen click one of the presets(i.e. Wine)
Click Confirm to move to the next screen
2. Custom Aisle Setting:
If an aisle doesn’t fit the standard presets, wranglers can now select Customer. They will need to manually enter the parameter and exposure settings (provided by Brain Corp) to ensure the cameras capture clear data.

On the Select Aisle Type screen click the Custom preset
Use the scroller to set the Distance To Shelf and Exposure
Click Confirm to move to the next screen
3. Enter Aisle Number & Side:
Wranglers can now type in the physical aisle number and specify which side of the aisle the robot is scanning(provided by ShelfOptix).

On the Enter Aisle # screen enter the Aisle Number and Side
Click Confirm to move to the next screen or
Click Skip to move to the next screen
4. Change Aisle Number & Side:
Wranglers can now change the physical aisle number and side they enter of the aisle the robot is scanning(provided by ShelfOptix).

Click on the aisle number entered
Click the Backspace key to erase
Enter the updated Aisle Number and Side
Click Confirm to move to the next screen

Under the hood updates to make the robot smarter.
Better QR Scanning: The robot recognizes the retailer ID when scanning QR codes.
Smarter Grocery Detection: Upgraded the detection so it can identify grocery products more accurately than before.
This is iterative and will continue to improve in more areas in future releases.
